Europe's Privacy Watchdogs 🐕
Guess who's getting Europe's privacy watchdogs all riled up? Yup, it's ChatGPT! The European Data Protection Board (EDPB) just formed a task force to keep an eye on OpenAI's chatbot superstar GPT.
Why, you ask? Well, they want to foster cooperation and exchange info on possible enforcement actions. They're especially interested in the recent Italian ban on ChatGPT over privacy concerns.
OpenAI's currently working hard with Italy's Data Protection Authority to patch things up – they have a looong list of commitments they need before opening up again (Just like Rachel’s letter had from Ross).

But wait, there's more! Germany and Spain are also considering putting the brakes on ChatGPT, citing their own data privacy worries.
With over 100 million monthly active users, ChatGPT has become the fastest-growing consumer app in history, but it's also raised some eyebrows when it comes to safety, privacy, and jobs. What do you think about these regulations?

Twitter’s “CashTags” Major Upgrade 💵
Hey folks, guess what? Twitter's putting the "cash" in cashtags! They've teamed up with trading platform eToro to let us buy and sell stocks, crypto, and more right from our Twitter feed.
Cashtags, those nifty "$" symbols that are used to look up stocks and crypto, are getting a major upgrade. Soon, you'll be able to click on a button and head straight to eToro's website to drop dough on them.

And if you noticed the Doge logo switcheroo recently, maybe they're hinting at more crypto features in the future.
The question that we’re asking ourselves is “Do we lose our money trading stocks in eToro now or do we still keep losing it on Robinhood 🥲”.
Maybe this move is the next step in Musk's master plan for turning Twitter into an "everything app" like China's WeChat. Twitter's recent name change to X Corp followed by this announcement is maybe a hint at connecting the dots for Elon’s (hopefully not evil) empire.

Amazon gets in Bed with AI 🛏️
Yes, you heard that right! They've jumped into the AI chatbot game with their brand-new “Bedrock” service.
Bedrock lets businesses customize foundation models with their own data, creating unique and fancy chatbots, just like OpenAI does with ChatGPT. AWS offers their own proprietary model, Amazon Titan, and some other models from trendy startups.

🔮 Futuristic Fridays 🔮
The European Space Agency is launching the JUICE probe, its biggest, juiciest deep space mission yet, to check out Jupiter's icy moons and see if they could be cozy homes for life. This celestial bar crawl will include close encounters with Ganymede, Europa, and Callisto, making us wonder if we should start preparing welcome signs for any potential space neighbors! 🚀🌌🔭
Kimer Med, a New Zealand-based startup, is on a mission to create the ultimate viral bouncer: a broad-spectrum antiviral drug, aka "penicillin for viruses." With their VTose candidate, they're aiming to recognize viral party crashers using double-stranded RNA and trigger a cell's self-destruct button to stop infections in their tracks. 🦠💊🚀
GaeaStar is shaking things up by creating disposable clay cups and bowls, giving us an eco-friendly alternative to those pesky plastic cups. Their special 3D-printer dishes out clay containers in a jiffy, and after you've enjoyed your drink, you can smash it, guilt-free, or even repurpose it as a plant pot. 🌎🥤🌱
